Established in 2007 and closed in 2013, The Fugitive Motel was a collective webzine run by passionate, informed people who care about their music and popular culture. We tried not to discriminate by genre or, indeed, anything else – we only cared about whether your music was good or not. Our contributors were split between Manchester and London, two of the UK’s most creative cities. This is an archive as it stood when the site was placed on (permanent) hiatus.
“I got to the bank and told them that I had lost my bank card. They told me they had seven accounts with people named Alice Cooper, and didn’t know which was mine. I told them, “Mine’s the one under Mr Alice Cooper”. – Attributed to Alice Cooper
